The trance of realism

focused on fleeting mirages

oscillations around the car

rain beading on the windshield,

no one has spoken for hours

up in the mountains

where the clouds cluster

oranges and pineapples from a dream

piled against the fallen birch

the sun has burned out your memory

left livid scars

in the white pure air.
